I want to start out by congratulating Don Hisle and Lisa Mallory for their victories in yesterday's election.  I wish you both good luck in the upcoming term and hope that God will grant you wisdom and patience.

To all of my supporters - thank you for everything that you have done for me both this year and last.  I very much appreciate all of the support that I have been given.  Thank you.

I would like to take this time to encourage everyone to head to the polls and vote in the local elections.  In addition to voting Nathan Deckinga for Leander ISD place 2, please make an informed decision in all of the other races for your area including Leander ISD place 1 (Dustin Wiebel, James Spires, Lisa Mallory) and your city council races.

One of the best election guides around is produced by the League of Women Voters at http://www.lwvaustin.org/publications/VGMay2009.pdf  That guide has more information than most, but it doesn't cover Cedar Park or Leander city council elections.  Information on those can be found at the Community Impact guide at http://impactnews.com/leander-cedar-park/guides/3972-election-guide-2009

Head over to the Travis or Williamson county election pages for specific voting location information.  Remember that during early voting, you can vote at any location in your county.

Williamson County

Travis County

Now please vote.  Thank you!

The election is drawing closer - early voting starts this Monday the 27th of April.  I encourage you to become educated about all of the races in your area and cast an informed ballot during early voting.  The chances to hear all of the candidates are coming to an end.  Tonight at the LEO center, you can hear the candidates for Leander city council.  Tomorrow night at Laura Bush Elementary and Monday night at Cedar Park Middle School are the final two scheduled forums for Leander ISD candidates James Spires, Lisa Mallory, and Dustin Weibel (place 1) and Nathan Deckinga (me), Nacole Thompson, and Don Hisle (place 2).  I would appreciate meeting you at either of those events and even more so, I would appreciate your support and your vote.  Head to the polls and elect Nathan Deckinga for Leander ISD board of trustees place 2.
